Abstract(摘要):

Abstract: Gamow-Teller (GT) transition is one of the basic excitation modesin nuclei. The collective exhibited by this transition, i.e. the GT giantresonance (GTGR), provides a unique experimental probe to evaluatespin-isospin residual interaction in nuclear matters. In particular, the understanding of the collectivity of GTGR and the underlying spin-isospin interaction is the key to predict the onset density of the pion condensation in dense nuclear matter such as the interior of a neutron star as well as to understand the stability of finite nuclei. The GTGR is still not well studied for unstable and highly neutron-rich nuclei, although it is not clear at all how neutron asymmetry (N-Z)/A is influencing the collectivity of the GT giant resonance (GTGR). In this talk, we present the results of the measurement of the GTGR in 132Sn. In this work, a new experimental technique was employed to measure the (p,n) reaction at intermediate energies with an RI beam in inverse kinematics. A thick target was used to obtain a high luminosity even for RI beams. Through the missing mass spectroscopy, we extracted the GT transition strengths up to a high excitation energy including the GTGR. The so-called Landau Migdal parameter g' (a simple parameter representing the strength of the spin-isospin interaction) was deduced from the measured GTGR energy in a similar quality as done in stable nuclei for the first time. In the talk, we also introduce our recent activities on N=Z unstable nuclei and light neutron-rich nuclei such as 11Li, which are being driven by Jian Gao (Beijing) and Dr. Laszlo Stuhl (ATOMKI) in collaboration with RIKEN.
